Joanna is a media executive with more than 20 years of experience helping brands become part of the cultural conversation. She's known for spotting emerging trends, anticipating shifts in consumer behavior, and translating those insights into award-winning content, audience growth, and beloved consumer brands.
Today, Joanna isVice President of Social & Editorial at Hello Sunshine, where she leads editorial strategy, audience growth, and creative direction across Hello Sunshine, Reese's Book Club, and Sunnie. Her work spans social media, newsletters, publishing, podcasts, live events, and entertainment launches, helping millions of people discover books, stories, and culture. She has launched editorial franchises, expanded beloved consumer brands, and developed award-winning partnerships with companies including Apple, Target, Adobe, Coach, and Yankee Candle.
Previously, Joanna was VP of Branded Content at Vox Media, overseeing a $23M+ business across brands including New York Magazine, The Cut, Eater, Vulture, The Verge, Vox, POPSUGAR, Thrillist, and The Dodo. Before that, she led branded content at Group Nine Media and POPSUGAR. Earlier in her career, she partnered with Bobbi Brown to launch Yahoo Beauty and was a founding editor of Yahoo Shine, which became the world's largest site for women.
Joanna has appeared on The Today Show, spoken at industry events, and taught Native Advertising 101 at NYU's Summer Publishing Institute. When she's not thinking about content strategy, you'll usually find her captaining her USTA team, taking pottery classes, listening to audiobooks, or cycling the Connecticut shoreline in search of the best ice cream. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from New York University and shares her home with Guava, an opinionated cat who keeps life interesting.
